At project creation, select a checklist template (or start blank). Site Reports pre-fills the Tasks panel with grouped steps - booking, site capture, review, and PDF delivery - so nothing critical is forgotten on busy pre-purchase jobs.
Built-in templates cover common inspection workflows, including Floor levels, Building inspection, Property management, Insurance assessment, Forensic investigation, Environmental survey, Health and safety audit. Each lines up with a report type in the app. Seeded rows behave like manual tasks: mark done, set priority, assign a colleague, add notes, or email a summary.
Admins refine templates under Settings → Checklist templates: pick the org default, hide built-in lines you do not use, add custom sections, or restore removed items. Edits affect new projects only; open jobs keep their checklist. You can swap templates later from Tasks; hand-added items stay put.
