Projects open in View mode so reviewers can read rooms, photos, and notes without changing anything. Switch to Edit mode only when you need to add or correct inspection evidence - that step claims a cloud presence lock.
One editor at a time prevents two inspectors overwriting each other's work. Teammates see who holds the lock and may take over after a deliberate confirmation. The project list marks busy jobs with an in-use indicator.
Organisation admins can freeze a job during final QA so findings stay fixed after sign-off begins. That admin lock is separate from the live editor lock and applies to the whole team.
